CONGREGATIONAL CARE COMMITTEE

•    To keep an accurate roll of families – members and adherents.  To make recommendations to Council regarding revision of the roll, based on the requirements and guidelines contained in the United Church of Canada Manual
•    To work with the church’s Office Administrator to maintain official records of church membership, baptisms, marriages, and funerals
•    To develop a membership preparation program in consultation with the ministerial staff
•    To coordinate the overall pastoral care of church family through the Caring Circles and in consultation with the ministerial staff
•    To welcome and assimilate newcomers into the church
•    To coordinate and maintain a welcoming team providing pre- and post-service coffee time, greeters, ushers, tech team
•    To publish a photo directory as required
•    To coordinate the dates and conveners of all social activities as required, including Fall Welcome Back event, Pancake Supper, Easter Sunrise breakfast, Anniversary Sunday cake. Others to be determined by the committee on a yearly basis.
•    To appoint an Observer representative for promotion and circulation of the Observer in the congregation
•    To maintain an archive of church records, memorabilia, and pictures, and to transfer appropriate documents to the national Church archives as required
